Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Boomkey (the “Application”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the Application.
The Application
Boomkey is a macOS utility that automatically corrects text typed in the wrong keyboard layout. The Application is distributed as a signed and notarized DMG directly from this website.
License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on macOS devices that you own or control.
- Free trial: 7 days of full functionality from first launch, at no charge. No account or payment information required to start the trial. After the trial ends, the Application stops performing corrections until a license is activated.
- Pro license: A one-time purchase of $14.99 (excluding applicable taxes). Grants continued use of the Application after the trial period and includes all future updates at no additional cost. Each license may be activated on up to 2 Macs that you personally own or control, and you can move the license between devices at any time via the Application's Settings.
Merchant of Record and Payment
Pro licenses are sold by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for this purchase. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, billing, invoicing, and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes. By completing a purchase you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms and acknowledge Paddle's Privacy Notice.
Prices are shown in USD unless Paddle displays a localized currency at checkout. Taxes (VAT, sales tax, etc.) are calculated and displayed by Paddle based on your billing location.
Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day refund from the date of purchase, no questions asked. To request a refund, email [email protected] with the email address you used at checkout, or request the refund directly through Paddle using the receipt email. Refunds are processed by Paddle to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. Refunds granted outside of the 30-day window are at our discretion. Delivery
Upon successful purchase, Paddle will email you a receipt and a Pro license key. Enter the key in the Application to activate Pro features. If you do not receive your license within a reasonable time, email [email protected].
Updates
The direct download version may notify you of available updates by checking a version manifest on our website. Installing updates is at your option. All future updates to the Application are included with your Pro license at no additional cost.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or lease the Application or your license key
- Circumvent or tamper with license verification or any technical protection measure
- Use the Application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
Intellectual Property
The Application, including its code, design, and dictionaries, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that corrections will be accurate in every case. Text corrections are performed on a best-effort basis using language detection heuristics.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Application. Our total aggregate liability in respect of the Application shall not exceed the amount you paid for your Pro license in the twelve months preceding the claim, or the current Pro license price if you have not purchased Pro.
Termination
You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections intended to survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) survive.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, with consumer rights of EU/UK buyers preserved under their local law. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
